History of hollywoood

In the 1910's was when hollywood became the nexus of commerical film production in the united states. The Hollywood studios in the 1910's and 1920's - Paramount, Fox and Warner Bros., complemented their factory - based poduction operations with common buisness practices, doing that enabled them to collectively dominate the movie industry in the Unites States and overseas aswell.

Hollyood as been the dominate force throughout motion picture history due to the studios collective controle of distribution as well as production. Hollywoods studios are the strongest shaping forces in the movie industry, and their operations today are a fundamental exstention of the system that they established at their inception.

Thomas Ince wielded an enormous influence over the hollywood studio system, especially the factory - based mode of production that came to characterize it. In the 1915's he joined D.W Griffith and Mark Sennette to form triangle Pictures which is one of Hollywoods first major independent production companies.

In the 1912's and 1915's Hollyowoods first studios emerged as United States film making migrated to the Los Angeles area and quickly developed a standarsized mode of production.

Larger studios in hollywood refined similar practices on a grader scale, enabling them to produce an enormous volume of pictures - up to about 250 features and serials per year in Universal Pictures.

The studio system was the vertical interagation of film production, distribution, and exhibition within a single corporation.
Some studios, Fox, warner bros...developed vertically intergrated companies via expansion or merger. Hollywoods corporate power structure fully coalesced with the coming of sound in the late 1920's.
